Anonymous asked: Censorship is wrong and hate speech is not a hate crime, nor should it be. Anyone should be allowed to express any opinion they have, no matter how "harmful" those beliefs are. To suggest that it is acceptable to forcibly silence those in opposition to your viewpoint of racial equality is juvenile and childish. Personally, I believe that any attempts to silence anyone show one's inability to refute the opposition's viewpoints, as one feels it's necessary just to silence the opposition.
Hate speech is illegal across most of the civilized world and I think that’s a good thing. Hate speech is not the same as free speech.
There is a balance that always needs to be considered when you have the need to justify what is right and what is wrong. When it comes to hate speech against People of Color or the LGBT+ community it’s just so obvious that this shouldn’t be allowed that I feel like it’s almost fruitless to try explaining it to someone that doesn’t already “get” it.
