I think it’s finally that time where we can OFFICIALLY declare victory.
It wasn’t something that happened overnight and it wasn’t something I could do alone. I would like to thank and congratulate all of the volunteers who tirelessly worked diligently to help us in our struggle and achieve our goals. You have no idea how much I appreciate you.

I hope this comes as a nice gift to you all who simply wished for a hate-free holiday season.
So I keep seeing all this posts about 4chan users spamming tumblr with disturbingly graphic images.
In case you haven’t heard, they’re spamming popular tags such as ‘free!’, ‘doctor who’, ‘feminism’, and plenty of others with horrific images. A possible solution? I suggest we strike back! And no, not by hating on 4chan and getting revenge.
That’s exactly what they want us to do, and let’s not allow them to achieve that goal. But instead by filling the tags they’re using with user-friendly posts, and trying to prevent others from searching the tag. We can hopefully push down their images and such with our own posts! Just tag your USER-FRIENDLY posts with the tags from HERE! (credit to thishalfisforjean )
Whether you are personally a victim or not, please spread the word. This could help at least one person from being traumatized.
However, if you would rather just protect yourself, i would suggest blocking the users who have been spotted posting disturbing images. Here’s a list of some of them. (credit to thishalfisforjean )
Or, you could not contribute at all! However, I would suggest at least being cautious in the tags, there’s some pretty nasty stuff out there.
Although this probably won’t get any notes, I think this would be a good idea to spread in order to somewhat slow down this issue. Be safe, guys!

I think if people are clever with their posts they could get 4chan users from different boards to fight amongst themselves. It would have the upside of distracting them from harassing us.

Honestly everybody is freaking out about this 4chan thing & I’m not triggered easily so I’ve been going through the tags to see what’s up & I see absolutely nothing????? & tbh if people from 4chan are being asshole & posting shit on tumblr then stay on your dash & grow up. Don’t go spam 4chan because honestly they have so much shit on that site that there’s nothing we can add to make it worse. My boyfriend spends most of his time on 4chan & they have some weird shit dude. But anyways I hear that tumblr is gonna try to fight back but if we’re all “oh so mature” as we claim to be then act like it instead of spending your life getting back at people from the internet you don’t even know. Yeah, they’re jerks but so many people are. You’ll find assholes everywhere you go ffs.
To be honest, I’ve found posting random things on 4chan to be quite fun. You get a lot more attention from more people than you usually get on tumblr and you get to laugh at how stupid they are.

Their behavior can no longer be considered “just a joke”
You act as if 4chan’s main goal is to oppress women and be racist… But I’m also still pretty sure you’re a joke blog, meant to parody hyperbolic, misinformed SJW bullshit.
At any rate, 4chan isn’t indoctrinating children (who aren’t meant to go to 4chan anyways) because 4chan doesn’t have an ideology to spread. It only exists for the purpose of having a place for 18+ people to go and discuss anime, video games, porn, older video games, cartoons and comics, porn, food, guns, business, porn, board and card games, porn, monster girls, waifus, spooky skeleton stories, dickgirl porn, lgbt issues, and other topics.
There’s no agenda. There’s no grand scheme for the millions of multicultural, multiracial, male and female posters to take part in. 4chan exists for the sake of 4chan.
Besides, if you want to talk about hateful content contained within a website, tumblr has tons of blogs run by and for neo-nazis, white supremacists, radical feminists (the kind that think terrorism is good), as well as blogs for your garden variety racists, sexists, and psychopaths.
Guess you should work on invading and shutting down tumblr next. I eagerly await your results.
You act as if the patriarchy constantly requires people to consciously enable and support it. Here’s news for you, it doesn’t. It gets perpetuated by people staying quiet and ignorant with no interest in checking their privilege because they don’t want to be upsetting the status-quo. The site may say “18+” but come on, it’s a fact that a large percentage of the users are underage. Even 4chan’s owner, “moot”, was underage when he started the site. Children are impressionable and 4chan are bigoted role models. These children are being praised for hating colored people and vulernable minorities. They’re getting praised for reading nazi material and are practically being shuffled into being the new generation of digital Hitler Youth
